Information We Collect

The Plumber List collects and displays publicly available business information including business names, addresses, phone numbers, website URLs, and service categories. We do not collect personal information from visitors browsing the directory.

Information You Submit

When you claim a listing, submit a review, or request a correction, we collect the information you provide (name, email, phone, review text). This information is used solely for the purpose of verifying listing ownership and displaying reviews.

• Claim requests: email and phone are used to verify business ownership and are not displayed publicly.
• Reviews: your name and review content are displayed publicly. Your email is not displayed.
• Corrections: submitted information is used to update the listing and is not displayed separately.

Data Sources

Business listings are compiled from:

• Publicly available business registrations and directories
• Business websites (publicly accessible information)
• Owner-submitted claims and corrections

Cookies and Tracking

We use Google Analytics to understand site usage. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect anonymous usage data. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

Our internal analytics track page views and interaction events (clicks on phone numbers, website links, claim buttons) for directory improvement purposes. No personal identifiers are stored beyond IP address and user agent.

Data Retention

Listing data is retained as long as the business appears in public records. Suppressed or removed listings are retained for audit purposes. Review data is retained indefinitely unless the review is removed by the author or violates our review policy.

Your Rights

Business owners may claim, correct, or request removal of their listing at any time. Contact us at contact@theplumberlist.com.

Review authors may request removal of their review by contacting us.
